'Crons

Somehow I am in a very big hobby-summer-slump ... but today I was in the mood for some quick and dirty Necrons.

But there wont be many updates in the next time. (I think) Because I will move to my first own flat next month, and there is so much stuff to do and think about ...

the chaplain

irae scorpios new chaplain:

sadly the VMC matt vanish i used for him as last step turned out a little bit too glossy and you can't really see the shading i tried to paint on the black parts. :( And the backpack is also missing ...but i'll finish that soon. i promise.

and here are some pic's of the additional 5 meele guys i finished:

and a comparsion of the two special weapon guys i'll use:

Not dead ... but very very very lazy!

The warm weather here in germany is not good for my painting mood. BBQ, beer and motorcyling is way cooler than sitting in front of a desk. ;-)

But here's some wip shot from my desk:

This is some kind of learning by doing. I am trying around with very thin layering and stuff ... and taking more time. Not just quick and dirty. :-D

Stay tuned for some hq shots next time ... I have finished five other BP&C-Sword guys and bought some cool resin pieces.

And we add a pinch off Chaos. 2.0

Done with my first five meele Initiates. Somehow I did forget about my camouflage  pattern while painting. But then I thought that doesn't really matter if you are needed to storm the front and go into close combat. also I changed the brown on the shoulderpads to tinbits with highlight. You can only hardly see this on the pictures, but it makes a difference and it's not too far away from the original brown.
Also the meele ones got another backpack, baremetal and rusty. For a little bit more contrast.

But have a look:

Their commanding Initiate in detail:

And here a picture to see the diffrences between the painting styles.

And we add a pinch off Chaos...

Last weekend we made some 200 point games, this new mission from the mission book. I won two games and lost two games. But one of the losses, was very stupid of me, decided to deep strike my assault guys but forgot that everyone of them is in this special mission his own unit and therefore rolls his own dice for strinking ... narf.

In the end we had a lot of fun!

And my mate gave me some casting frames with bolt pistol and chainsword arms. They are from Chaos Marines, but I like them. I think their chainswords look way cooler than normal ones. Also I took one Chaos shoulderpad for my new Guys... heres what they look like:

And I finished my three built neophytes ... very easy and simple painting, but I like how they show up:

And this is what my friend gave me as birthday present. Didn't now this mini, damn is he cool. Hopefully I can give him the paintjob he deserves...

How time flies ...

Not dead yet...

After a week in Belgium (two weeks ago now) I somehow managed to get very lazy. But yesterday I pulled myself together and did some painting again. Five Assault Marines nearly finished, just their jetpacks will need some work.

I hope this weekend I'll get my 'long promised' chainsowrd and bolter arms from a friend, so that I can start building 10 Initiates for melee combat. After those are finished, there are two more Neophytes to go and then I am done with the stuff I have (and need to buy new stuff -ugh-).

I think a Predator will be a good new thing to buy. Would be the first heavy support unit for me. We will see...

Here is a picture from my yesterdays chaos-bench, is yours so messy to? I can't manage to keep things in order on there. :(
